Three-year-olds have to say something embarrassing at least once. Today we were at WalMart picking up a few things for Halloween costumes (it is SO wonderful to have Walmart less than 2 miles from home now - life changing!). A nice black lady was helping us with our check-out. In a loud voice Sydney said, "Mom, that lady has BIG lips!" The lady totally heard, laughed a little and then we both pretended like Sydney hadn't said anything.
Since the time she was little, we have called Sydney "Bubbas" regularly. Today Sydney told me, "I'm not Bubbas! I'm Sydney!" When I expressed sadness at not being able to call her that anymore she said, "You can call me Bubbas when I'm a baby. On Saturday I'm going to grow smaller and be a baby again."
