The week after Sage was born all eyes were on the baby. The kids surprised me with their interest in the baby. They wanted to hold her and be around her a lot. They were keen on protecting her from big sister. Observing this, Parker boldly told Sydney, "You're not the star of the show anymore. Sage is the star now!"
Now that we're almost 7 weeks into this, I think it's safe to say that Sydney has resumed the role of "star" for now. Sage's fussiness and Sydney's charm have led to this. It's hard not to be entertained by this cute face and the funny things she does. The kids are having fun teaching her new words and new tricks.
Sage is a star in her own right. I don't think any of the other kids did as well as she does at night. She is usually giving me a 7-8 hour stretch between feedings at night which is wonderful. She sleeps almost exclusively in the swing but we are ok with that given the good sleep we get.
